Anthropic Launches Claude for Healthcare Following OpenAI’s ChatGPT Health Announcement
Anthropic has unveiled Claude for Healthcare, enhancing medical support for patients and providers after OpenAI’s ChatGPT Health release.
Like ChatGPT Health, Claude can connect health data from phones and smartwatches, but Anthropic says its tool is smarter. Claude aims to help with research and paperwork more than just chatting with patients.
Some doctors worry about AI giving medical advice. However, Claude’s “agent skills” are meant to help. Its features include “connectors” to speed up tasks like checking insurance approvals.
Mike Krieger from Anthropic talked about how doctors spend too much time on paperwork. Claude helps with tasks that don’t need a doctor’s special skills, letting them focus more on patients.
Many people already use LLMs like ChatGPT for health advice, with 230 million sharing health details each week. Anthropic knows this and still says to consult real doctors for health issues.
