City: Bluesky Social Network:
Bluesky has released its first full transparency report documenting how it handles different types of online safety problems. The company grew quickly this year, adding many new users who want to talk and share posts online.

The social network now has many more posts each day. Users made 61 percent of all posts ever written on Bluesky this year. Many of these posts contain pictures and videos. People also reported more problems this year, with reporter notices rising 54 percent.

Moderators handle many different types of harmful content. Spam messages make up the most concerns people report. Hate speech and meanspirited messages are also common problems that moderators check. The largest number of reports about inappropriate adult content involves posts that were not properly labeled as sensitive material.

Bluesky uses both computers and people to check for rule breaking. Machines automatically find about 2.5 million possible problems. People also review reports and decide what action to take. The company removes accounts that break rules and tries to catch people who create new accounts after being banned.

The report shows Bluesky is working to make its platform safer while still allowing people to share and connect. The company continues to add features that help users control their own experience with content they see.
