New York: My kids liked the game Save the Bloogs. It is a fun platformer where you use pieces as ladders, bridges, and cannons to guide the cute Bloogs away from danger. Board Arcade is special because it uses pieces for games like Snake and Asteroids.

Most of the games are for kids aged six and up. Young children would enjoy these games. Mushka is a digital pet game made for little kids. But, some games like Spycraft and Thrasos are not out yet. Strata, which is inspired by Tetris and Chess, is a fun game for two to six players. Omakase is another game where players build the best bento boxes.

The games vary in quality, but they show how the new tech can be used. Most of the best games are clones of old favorites. I wonder what other developers will create. There’s no subscription fee, but it’s unknown how much the new titles will cost or when they will be released. You can download the games, and the piece packs will be delivered to your home.

I like Board, but my older kids, who are 13 and 16, didn’t enjoy it. They called Board’s games boring. Family and friends had mixed feelings too. We play many video games and board games, but I was the only one excited about Board during the holidays. It lacks the fun factor that keeps you coming back. Younger kids, aged six to ten, might like it more.

Board is big, and I had trouble finding a place to keep it. It’s still mostly undamaged, but I worry about how it will last. Some games can be wild, and younger kids might be rough with the screen. I found a small scratch from my curious cat, who likes to sit on board games during playtime.
