Breville Luxe Brewer Review (2025): Good Drip, Real Cold Brew

With the “settings” option, coffee lovers can adjust the brew temperature by one degree. You can also change how long the coffee blooms and how fast it flows from the brew head.

If you don’t want to customize, just press the “brew” button. The machine will detect how much water is in the tank and make the coffee for you. For smaller batches under 20 ounces, you use special filters. For bigger batches, you use flat-bottom filters.

Breville makes coffee really well, even on default settings. The brewing temperature is just right, and it evenly moistens the coffee grounds. The coffee tastes smooth and flavorful, perfect for those who love light or medium roast.

However, Breville brews coffee fairly quickly—under three minutes for less than four cups. This speed is handy, but you might need to grind the coffee a bit finer to get a richer taste. The overall flavor of the coffee is impressive, standing out compared to many other machines.

The Luxe Brewer is quite similar to the earlier Precision Brewer. If you own that one, you may not need to buy a new one unless yours is old. The Luxe has some exciting upgrades, though!

The water tank is now removable, making it super easy to fill it up—something that many users found annoying before. The new thermal carafe keeps coffee warm for two hours or more and fixes past leaks. You can also turn the warming plate on and off whenever you want, which is quite handy.
