Chicago: The Burtran Nano-Oxy Smart Air Purifier was tested for safety. My apartment showed 20 clicks per minute on the Geiger counter, which is safe. Normal readings are 5-50. You only need to worry if it goes over 2,000 CPM.

Burtran says its HEPA 14 filters catch 99.995 percent of tiny particles down to 0.1 micron. HEPA stands for high-efficiency particulate air. Higher numbers mean better filters. However, some filters may limit how air flows.

The Nano-Oxy is compact yet powerful. It weighs 17.5 pounds and can clean a 270-square-foot room five times an hour. It includes a carbon filter for VOCs and a prefilter for pet hair. Its control panel is user-friendly with a timer, fan speed options, and modes for sleep and auto.

I suggest using the auto mode. The smart sensor adjusts fan speed automatically. But some air purifiers can be noisy, especially at high settings, which is why they have sleep modes.
