Minneapolis: The Trump administration and MAGA supporters are rewriting the story of a shooting. This tragic event happened when ICE agents approached a car. Videos show agents in masks asking a driver to exit the vehicle. As they did this, the driver reversed and then drove forward. Sadly, a third agent fired his gun, killing Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old woman.

The officer who fired was identified as ICE agent Jonathan Ross. Officials quickly labeled Good as a criminal. Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem called her actions “domestic terrorism.” She claimed Good tried to run over the agent. Later, Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, saying Good had acted “viciously.”

In a press conference, Noem repeated her claims about Good being a “domestic terrorist,” even while making false statements about the agents. Vice president JD Vance also suggested Good was influenced by “left-wing ideology.”

This quick spin of the narrative distracts from the truth seen in online videos. Many supporters joined in and echoed Trump’s blame on the “radical left.” Some went as far as saying Good planned to block the road and harmed the agent. However, local leaders disagreed.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called the official story “garbage.” He felt that ICE should leave Minneapolis. Minnesota Governor Tim Walz blamed Trump’s policies for creating fear, which he said led to this tragedy.

Despite these disagreements, some influencers continued to support the new viewpoint. A visitor from the Heritage Foundation claimed it was self-defense, insisting Good hit the agent. These claims are heavily disputed.
