More than 100 new tech unicorns were minted in 2025 — here they are

San Francisco: Many new tech startups became unicorns in 2025. A unicorn is a startup valued at over $1 billion. This year, over 100 new tech companies hit this milestone. Most of these startups focus on AI, but some are in different areas, like satellites and blockchain.

Some of the most interesting new unicorns include Heven Aerotech. Founded in 2019, they are making hydrogen-powered drones. They’ve raised $115.2 million so far. Another example is Unconventional AI, started by the former head of AI at Databricks. This 2025 company is creating energy-efficient computers for AI. They recently raised $475 million, making their value $4.5 billion.

Other exciting companies include Saviynt, a cybersecurity startup launched in 2010, which is now valued at $3 billion. They raised $700 million to date. There’s also Serval, which creates AI agents to assist IT workers. Founded in 2024, they raised $74.8 million, valuing them at $1 billion.
