Netflix Dominates the 2026 Golden Globes with Seven Big Wins
Netflix shone bright at the 2026 Golden Globes, winning seven awards including four for “Adolescence” and two for “KPop Demon Hunters.”
Netflix’s show “Adolescence” was a key highlight. It won four awards, including best limited series. The series also had big wins for best actor with Stephen Graham, supporting actor Owen Cooper, and supporting actress Erin Doherty. Additionally, Netflix’s most-watched title, “KPop Demon Hunters,” won best animated feature and best original song.
Netflix’s strong performance comes as the company is making big changes in Hollywood. They are preparing to acquire Warner Bros.
Apple TV also had a good night with two awards for its show “The Studio.” It won best television series in the musical or comedy category and best actor for Seth Rogen. Rhea Seehorn won best lead actress in a television drama for her role in “Pluribus.”
HBO found success too with its medical drama “The Pitt,” which won two Golden Globes, including one for actor Noah Wylie. HBO’s third win came from Jean Smart for best female actor in a TV series – musical or comedy for “Hacks.”
Hulu’s one win was from Michelle Williams, who got the award for best lead actress in “Dying for Sex.” Some shows like “Only Murders in the Building” and “The Bear” did not win despite having nominations.
On the other hand, Disney+ had 15 nominations, including for “Andor” and “Elio,” but did not take home any awards.
This year’s Golden Globes also introduced a new category for best podcast, which Amy Poehler won for “Good Hang with Amy Poehler.” Other nominees included Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” and “Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard.”
