OpenAI executive Ryan Beiermeister was reportedly fired after opposing a new chatbot “adult mode” feature, with a male colleague accusing her of sexual discrimination
San Francisco: An OpenAI leader who spoke against a new chatbot feature that would add adult content was fired after a coworker said she treated people unfairly.
Ryan Beiermeister had worked at OpenAI as vice president of product policy. She told reporters her firing by baseless. Another company leader, Fidji Simo, said the adult mode would come out this year.
A tech news site said Beiermeister told coworkers the new feature could hurt some users. OpenAI said her leaving was believe her concerns at work caused the problem.
