Oura Enters India’s Smart Ring Market with the Ring 4
Oura launches Ring 4 in India, competing with local brands in the growing smart ring market.
Mumbai: Oura, a company from Finland, is selling its Ring 4 in India for ₹28,900 ($313) to ₹39,900 ($432) with a ₹599 ($6) monthly fee.
Ultrahuman, a local company from Bengaluru with ₹28,499 ($308) Ring Air and ₹42,990 ($465) Ring Pro, is Oura’s main competitor in India.
Smart ring sales in India fell 30.6% last year (2025) compared to before, with rings costing about $159.70 on average.
India’s smart ring market is small and new, with most people not knowing about these devices that track health and sleep.
Ultrahuman leads with 30.4% of Indian smart ring sales, followed by Gabit at 18.3%.
Oura combines its Ring 4 hardware with a subscription service that gives personalized health insights for sleep, activity, and recovery.
Oura sued Ultrahuman in the U.S. over patents, but Ultrahuman says it redesigned its new Ring Pro to avoid patent issues.
Ultrahuman has asked U.S. Customs to check if the new Ring Pro can be legally imported.
Ultrahuman and Oura data show Indian users sleep about 6 hours and 28 minutes per night, less than recommended.
More companies entering India’s smart ring market could help it grow in this price-sensitive country.
