City: Skild AI is a robotics software maker that has become very popular. It has more than tripled its value to $14 billion in just seven months. This exciting news comes after Skild AI raised $1.4 billion in a Series C funding round, led by SoftBank. Other investors include Nvidia, Macquarie Group, and 1789 Capital.

Just last summer, Skild AI was valued at $4.5 billion. While they did not reveal how much they raised then, it was rumored to be around $500 million. CEO Deepak Pathak has shared that Skild AI has raised over $2 billion in total.

Founded in 2023, Skild AI creates software and models for robots that can learn new tasks without needing lots of extra training. This means they can adapt quickly by watching humans do things.

Recently, there is a strong interest in this kind of smart robotic software, especially with the rise of humanoid robots. One challenge with robots is the long training needed for them to learn each new job. If robots can learn on their own, more people will want to use them.

Another startup, Field AI, is also working on making robotic software easy to adjust. The company has a humanoid robot named Neo and has just introduced a new model to help robots learn better.
