Subtle Launches Innovative Earbuds with Advanced Noise Cancellation Features
Subtle introduces wireless earbuds that provide clear audio for calls and note-taking, featuring AI capabilities for a better experience.
These earbuds will cost $199 and come with a year-long subscription to their app. This app works on iOS and Mac. It allows you to take voice notes or talk to AI without needing to press any buttons. The earbuds use a special chip that wakes up your iPhone even when it is locked.
Subtle wants to compete with voice apps like Wispr Flow and others. Their earbuds claim to make five times fewer mistakes than AirPods Pro 3 when used with OpenAI’s transcription model.
In a demo seen by TechCrunch, the earbuds worked well in a noisy background. They even captured a whisper made by Tyler Chen, Subtle’s co-founder and CEO, into text for a voice note.
Chen explained that more people are using voice as a way to interact. However, it can be hard to use voice when others are nearby. With their noise isolation model, Subtle aims to offer a better voice interface in earbuds.
Last year, other companies launched different tools for note-taking, but Subtle wants to combine dictation, AI chat, and voice notes all in one product.
Users can pre-order the earbuds on Subtle’s website. They are available in black and white.
Subtle has raised $6 million in funding and is collaborating with consumer companies like Qualcomm and Nothing for noise isolation technology.
