Fort Strength Training Wearable Tracks Your Sets (2026)
The Fort tracks your workouts automatically and costs less per year than other fitness trackers.
San Francisco, CA: The Fort is a new wearable that tracks strength training workouts automatically. It uses motion sensors to identify different exercises like squats or pull-ups and count your repetitions.
The device works by sitting on your wrist or attaching to a barbell with magnets. It measures how fast you lift (called velocity) and tracks your workout progress each month.
Founder Allison Nover says the Fort will track many things including heart rate, sleep patterns, and recovery time. You can start at $80 per year after buying the device for about $200. Some big studies will test how accurate it is before selling to everyone.
