Threads posts can now be shared directly to your Instagram Story without leaving the app

New York: Meta has made it easier for Threads users to share posts on Instagram Stories without leaving the Threads app. This new feature lets people see how their Threads post will look on their Instagram Stories before sharing.

The company wants more people to use Threads. Recently, Threads grew to 400 million monthly users. The company hopes this new sharing feature will bring even more users to the app.

Threads first started in July 2023 and grew fast because it connected with Instagram. People could use their Instagram account to sign up for Threads. They could follow the same accounts they already followed on Instagram with one tap.

Meta is using its other big apps like Instagram and Facebook to help Threads grow. They show popular Threads posts on these platforms. Users can also easily share posts from Instagram and Facebook to Threads.

This strategy is working. More people are using Threads than X (formerly Twitter) on mobile phones. Threads reached 150 million people using it every day in October. The company keeps adding new features to make Threads better for everyone.
