Washington DC: The United States and Israel have attacked Iran early Saturday morning. President Trump called it a “major combat operation” to stop Iran from making nuclear weapons.

Tehran: Explosions happened in several cities across Iran. Smoke rose above the capital. Donald Trump said the goal is to “defend American people” and destroy Iran’s missiles. Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu said they want to remove the threat Iran poses.

Riyadh: After the attacks, Iran fired missiles toward Israel and other places in the Middle East where US bases exist. Bahrain warned of possible missile or drone attacks, and the United Arab Emirates said they stopped several missiles. One person died when a building was damaged in Dubai.

Doha: Many countries closed their airports for safety. FlightRadar24 showed Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar stopped all airplane flights. Internet stopped working in most of Iran, with only about 4 percent still running.

Jerusalem: Donald Trump also told people in Iran to change their government when the attacks end. He said their “hour of freedom” is coming. Before this happened, US officials told American embassy workers in Israel to leave the country for safety.
