Penn Township: A former police chief is in hot water after being sentenced for groping a woman. Todd Graeff, who used to lead the Manor Township Police, was found guilty of indecent assault. This all went down back in 2022 during a police conference in the Poconos.

Graeff, 58, was convicted by a jury in Monroe County. He got a sentence of two months to two years in jail, but he’s out on bail for now since he’s appealing the decision. He’ll also have to register as a sex offender for 15 years, even while the appeal is pending.

The incident happened when Graeff invited a woman to his hotel room. He was at a resort for the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association conference. He got her a wristband for the water park and let her change in his room. But when she came out, he made a creepy comment about her changing in front of him.

Things escalated at the water park when he groped her from behind. She felt really uncomfortable and eventually made an excuse to leave. Afterward, Graeff told her to keep it quiet and admitted he crossed a line.

The woman reported the incident weeks later, and during the investigation, she called Graeff at the police’s request. He apologized and even said he wished it never happened. He never denied what she said about the assault. He was charged with indecent assault in October 2022 and was put on leave before being fired the next month.
