A Powerball ticket worth $328.5 million was sold in Beaverton, Oregon, making headlines as the first jackpot of 2025.
The lucky ticket was bought in Beaverton on January 17. The Oregon Lottery is keeping the store’s name under wraps until the winner steps forward.
The winning numbers were 14, 31, 35, 64, 69, and the Powerball was 23. If you’ve got those, you might want to check your ticket!
The winner has a whole year to claim their prize. But, as Oregon Lottery spokesperson Melanie Mesaros mentioned, it might take a bit to sort everything out after they come in.
Oh, and here’s a fun fact: most winners in Oregon can’t stay anonymous. So, if you win, you might be in the spotlight!
You can choose between getting the full $328.5 million over time or a lump sum of $146.4 million before taxes. Tough choice, right?
Last year, Oregon had a massive $1.3 billion jackpot that was split among a Portland couple and their friend.
Before this, the last Powerball jackpot was sold in New York for $256 million back in December.
Powerball is a big deal, with 44 states, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico all in on the action.
