SAN FRANCISCO: The San Francisco SPCA is stepping up to help dogs affected by the wildfires in Southern California. They’re waiving adoption fees to make room for these pups.

They’ve got around 50 puppies that need homes, and the shelter was already full before the wildfires hit. By adopting these dogs out for free, they can clear space for more animals coming from down south.

Aeris Velasco, the assistant adoption manager, mentioned that this move helps get the puppies into loving homes while also making room for other pets in need. The usual adoption fee is about $400, so this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to adopt.

If you’re interested, you can check out the SF SPCA’s main location at 250 Florida Street. They’re open Tuesdays from 1-6 p.m. and Wednesday to Sunday from 11-6 p.m. You can also see available animals on their website.
