SALT LAKE CITY: So, here’s the scoop. Two people got arrested, and one is still on the run after a wild police chase. It all started when the cops spotted a stolen car linked to an aggravated assault.

They tried to pull the car over around 8:45 p.m., but the driver took off. The police had been on the lookout for this vehicle since the day before, so they were ready. They managed to spike the tires near 300 West and North Temple, and that’s when things got crazy.

Three suspects jumped out and took off on foot, leading to a chase with the police. It was a team effort, with several agencies joining in, including a helicopter from DPS. By about 8:48 p.m., two of the suspects were caught, but one is still out there.

The police are asking folks to steer clear of the area while they search for the last suspect. Thankfully, no one got hurt, and there’s no threat to the public right now.

This story is still unfolding, so keep an eye out for updates from ABC4 as more details come in.
