A woman has died following a tractor-trailer accident in Amelia, Virginia, with charges pending against the driver involved
AMELIA: Virginia State Police were called to a serious crash early Tuesday morning. It happened around 6:10 a.m. on Patrick Henry Highway. Sadly, this incident resulted in a fatality.
Paul J. Semtner, a 78-year-old from Blackstone, was driving his Honda CR-V when a tractor-trailer suddenly veered into his lane. His wife, 77-year-old Marilyn A. Semtner, was in the passenger seat. Tragically, she didn’t survive the crash.
Paul was taken to the hospital but his injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the tractor-trailer, a 27-year-old man from Chesterfield, is facing pending charges. The investigation is still ongoing, according to the Virginia State Police.
