Many popular campgrounds in Colorado are already taking reservations for that weekend, which falls on May 26, 2025. If you wait too long, you might miss out.
Places like Colorado State Parks, Roosevelt National Forest, and Rocky Mountain National Park are all on the list. They’re opening up their reservation systems soon, so keep an eye out.
For instance, in Larimer County, you can book campsites at spots like Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake up to 180 days in advance. That means you can snag a site as early as late February.
Rocky Mountain National Park is also a hot spot. You can reserve sites at campgrounds like Aspenglen and Glacier Basin six months ahead. Just a heads up, Moraine Park is closed for construction, so check their website for updates.
To make reservations, you can call the reservation center or hop online. Just remember, no in-person bookings at the campgrounds or visitor centers.
