Bitterly cold temperatures will persist through Friday, affecting many regions with potential snow and ice.
Houston: The cold weather is sticking around for a bit! Make sure to bundle up. It’s a big deal across the country, with snow hitting Houston today. Snow and ice are also expected to stretch through New Orleans, Biloxi, northern Florida, and up into the eastern Carolinas!
We might even see a few flurries tonight as the weather system moves south. There are some weather patterns to keep an eye on this weekend and early next week, especially in New England. The forecasts have been a bit shaky about any potential storms.
This morning started off clear but super cold. Temperatures dropped to as low as 5 below zero in some areas, while the shoreline saw lows between 5 and 12 degrees.
Today’s commute is going to be frigid. Expect a mix of sun and clouds, with highs only reaching the upper teens to lower 20s.
Tonight, it’ll be cloudy with a chance of some light snow showers along the shoreline. A little dusting could happen in southeastern Connecticut, with lows ranging from -5 to +12.
Tomorrow looks like another chilly morning. We’ll have mostly sunny skies, but it’ll still be very cold, with highs in the upper teens to lower 20s.
On Thursday, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine, but it’ll remain cold, with highs in the mid to upper 20s.
Friday should bring mostly sunny skies, with temperatures climbing into the upper 20s to lower 30s.
Saturday looks partly to mostly sunny, with highs in the low to mid 30s.
By Sunday, clouds will start to roll in, with highs reaching the mid to upper 30s.
As for Monday and Tuesday, we’ll be keeping an eye on a couple of weather systems nearby, with highs still in the 30s.
